Streetside Showers – December 2020

In early December, just as winter arrived and the thermometer dipped below freezing, Outreach was able to serve the homeless of Collin County. Working through Streetside Showers, a non- profit that brings showers to the homeless of McKinney and Plano, our leftover stock of adult men’s and women’s underwear was distributed to the homeless. Every Wednesday volunteers from First Presbyterian Church of Plano bring clothing to the homeless who are served by Streetside Showers in Plano. This group will distribute our stock of adult jackets, sweatshirts., and jeans. The church also brings clothing to those who seek refuge at warming stations that open in Plano when the nights are below freezing. This was the perfect opportunity for Outreach to help those in need in Collin County.
