Volunteers transforming lives through community programs since 1998
November 2021 marked the 25th Anniversary of the Assistance League® of Greater Collin County’s relationship with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, and we celebrate this milestone. Assistance League member volunteers have served the hospital through their Pass the Word program since 1996.
Our members have provided and distributed new magazines to patient rooms and the waiting areas of the 368-bed hospital. They also offer expectant mothers, on long-term bed rest, Mandala coloring books, color pencils, puzzles, and other creative diversions.
Josh Floren, president, Texas Health Plano said “During this season of giving, we are especially thankful for the Assistance League’s 25-year commitment of sharing their time and compassion with us. Their service has helped us create a healing environment for patients, families, and staff members. These volunteers are part of our Texas Health Plano family, and we look forward to another 25 years of serving our community together.”
