Dr. Seuss Reading

Dr. Seuss’ birthday celebrations were such fun. Volunteers visited Vega Elementary School in McKinney where the entire school was decorated to honor Dr. Seuss. Members read to seven first grade classes and each first grader received a book, plus three sets of Dr. Seuss books were given to the school library. Due to inclement weather, the reading at Memorial Elementary School will be held after spring break. According to Laurie Teer, Media Resource Specialist at Vega, “Your group is truly a blessing and we appreciate your dedication. The students loved your costumes and all the donated books.”
