Volunteers transforming lives through community programs since 1998
Dr. Seuss’ birthday celebrations in March can be so much fun! Assistance League of Greater Collin County has been participating in activities for this special day for four years. Volunteers visit schools in Collin County where the entire school is often decorated to honor Dr. Seuss. Members read to students in classes, and donate books to students and/or libraries. This year chapter members, disguised as the Cat in the Hat, read to first graders at Davis Elementary School in Plano. Each first grader was given a Dr. Seuss book to keep and take home. We aren’t sure who had the most fun, the readers or the students?
