Five-first grade classes at Boyd Elementary in Allen and at Meadows Elementary in Plano felt very special. These children had The Cat in the Hat visit them, spend time with them, read a book to them then give them each a book to take home to keep forever. The teachers and staff at both schools were very excited and appreciative as well. I would like to thank all of our talented Readers, Helpers and AL members that made this day possible for approximately 200 children. I look forward to doing it again next year.
