Susan Oliver grew up in Vermont and came to Texas in the late 70s to attend college. She has a background in social work and worked in North Texas schools as a parent liaison and care coordinator for thirty years. She found her calling working with children living in poverty and their guardians. During her long career, she helped numerous families obtain food, clothing, medical care and housing. In 2015, she retired to take care of her two lovely granddaughters and aging mother. She continues to serve the community by volunteering at several food banks.
Susan feels honored to have been on the receiving side of Operation School Bell® for many years. She is thankful to be able to give a tiny portion back by serving on the Advisory Board. Susan cherishes the Operation School Bell Award she received from our chapter in 2008. We are so pleased to have her on our Advisory Board.
